The vision for Hickory FC began in late 2022 after many conversations around the need for a semi-pro team in the area. Hickory FC is led by a diverse ownership group that has contributed to Hickory and beyond for many years. We have prior experience being around the game at the highest level and look forward to sharing that experience with the greater community.
Our mission is to build a club that Hickory will be proud to support while providing opportunities for players to pursue their dreams. We aspire to give back as positive role models and ambassadors for “The Beautiful Game.” We cannot wait to develop many special partnerships within the Catawba Valley area that will continue improving our community.

“With the center tree and railroad border, the Hickory FC logo is inspired by our city’s strong roots and history. Hickory gets its name from the Hickory Tavern, a log structure built beneath a huge hickory tree in the 1850s. Bolstered by the railroad, Hickory became a destination and community where its residents could flourish — and it continues to be so today. Hickory FC is proud to have a logo that represents the foundation of our vibrant city.”
